Werner Enterprises | We Keep America Moving

“Nothing behind me, everything ahead of me, as is ever so on the road.” ― Jack Kerouac, On the Road

How do you capture the scale of a transportation giant? For Werner Enterprises, we executed a high-stakes, two-day production across Phoenix, AZ, designed to showcase every facet of their operation.

Day one was dedicated to high-octane automotive cinematography. Utilizing a camera car equipped with a crane arm, we captured Werner’s fleet in motion. This required massive coordination, including shutting down roads in South Mountain Park and halting freeway traffic to ensure the perfect "hero" shots of the semis.

Day two shifted focus to the heartbeat of the company. We filmed inside their state-of-the-art virtual training facility, documented the precision of the mechanics in the depot, and captured the logistics experts at headquarters. Most importantly, we had the honor of filming the veterans who continue their mission as part of the Werner team. The result is a comprehensive suite of visual assets that define the modern era of American transportation.

From leaning my head against the window, watching the landscape change on a family road trip, to pumping my fist in the air in desperation for that blaring horn of a passing truck, the romanticism of America’s open roads has always inspired me. These roads inspire ideas of freedom, choice, and possibility, ideas that continue to intrigue me to this day.

I had the opportunity to work with the incredible folks at Werner Enterprises. Together, our team captured and created images that reflect the various elements of the company’s portfolio and mission. Working with these behemoth trucks and swinging camera cranes is not an easy task, and local law enforcement was also on-site to help with traffic. The entire shoot was a blast and an exciting glimpse into the industry that I’ve been fascinated with since childhood, and the employees who make it all possible.
